When boarding your pet at Bedford Veterinary Medical Center, you can rest assured knowing that your pet will be in the caring and capable hands of our experienced team. While you’re away, we want you to be confident that your pet is receiving the best care possible.  We provide your pet with bowls and bedding as part of your boarding package, so please leave blankets, toys and bedding at home.

We require you to pre-package your pets dry food in individual Ziploc bags labeled with your pets name, the date food is provided for, and AM, MIDDAY or PM as required for the entirety that your is staying with us. Please label all canned food with your pets name, frequency and amount to feed on the front of the can. If you forget your pets food, we can provide you with a small bag of prescription bland house diet for an additional charge of the cost of the diet (usually $35-50 per 6-8pound bag). We are unable to take in large bags of pet food - thank you for your cooperation!

One of the many benefits of boarding your animal with us is that if your pet should become ill for any reason while you’re away, a veterinarian will be available on the premises or on call for assistance.  Your pet can be treated by the doctor and staff you trust the most!

In order to board your pet at Bedford Veterinary Medical Center, your pet must be up to date on all vaccinations.  If you are a current client, we will have these records on file.  If you are a new client, we will need verification of your pet’s vaccination status prior to boarding.  Dogs must be current on Rabies, Distemper, Bordetella, Heartworm test and have negative fecal test results within the past 6 months. Pets also must be up to date on heartworm, flea and tick prevention.  Cats must be current on Rabies, Distemper, flea and tick preventative and have negative fecal test results within the past 6 months.  If vaccines were received elsewhere, you must email them in advance.
